PARALLEL WORLDS
First performances in 1992 established the string group as a perfect outlet for Douglas' wide-ranging compositional aesthetic. The band includes some of the world's top improvisers on strings -- violinist Mark Feldman, cellist Erik Friedlander, bassists Mark Dresser and Drew Gress.
Together they arrive at a unique new sound incorporating contemporary clasical music, sound track, world music, theater music and jazz.
